Located on the forward door jamb near the upper hinge, J-Shape weatherstrip channels water down into the inside of the door and out the bottom. It is made to factory specifications from ethylene propylene diene monomer or EPDM, a durable closed-cell synthetic foam rubber that's resistant to the ozone and UV rays. A special low-petroleum formula EPDM ensures the attachment glue will secure this J-Shape weatherstrip properly and it includes button retainers that use the original holes in the door.
