Owners Must Supply Clean Metal Rails When Ordering
Reupholstering door and quarter trim panels on 1959-64 Chevy's can be a real chore. What makes it hard is properly attaching the door panel & quarter trim panel metal top rails to the attaching boards. All you have to do is 1st place your order and we will send you via e-mail or phone a six digit document number for your door panel and quarter trim top rails. You will then write in magic marker this number on each of your curved metal top rails. If you do not write the number on each rail they could be lost and delay the processing of your order. Next, send your metal rails to us at the address shown below. Also your rails, must be free of the original boards, felts and vinyl and go over them with a wire brush if they are rusty. All rails must be usable for reupholstery (swiss cheese type rails cannot be upholstered). The panels we send you will be in the original Seville grain and will have the original die-electrically created pattern in the vinyl. The vinyl will be bonded to the door and quarter boards which have been treated for water resistance to prevent warping. Included with the kit will be windlace, kick panels (except 1964) and presewn arm rest covers. Once you receive your panels back all you have to do is transfer your hard trim, including door window felts, from your original panels. NOTE: Please specify in the comments section of an e-mail order or tell your taker on the phone whether your car is with or without air conditioning. (THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!). Please allow 4-6 weeks for this professional service once the repair shop receives your top rails.
Did you know? Many people in our hobby refer to door panels as side panels.
