High Quality Reproduction Gasket For Fuel Sender Black Nitrile Rubber Provides Good Resistance To New Gasoline Blends With 10% Ethanol Prevents Fuel Leakage At The Sending Unit Properly Seals The Sending Unit To The Tank This simple gas tank sending unit seal is the source of many gas tank leaks. The Chevy original dries out and cracks or shrinks, giving a poor seal at the tank and a leak results. Very often, 1955, 1956 or 1957 Chevy Bel Air, 150, 210, Nomad or Wagon owners misdiagnose this leak as a leaky tank. Fuel may leak out around the sending unit and run down and around the tank, making you think the leak is on the tank somewhere. Not only are these gas tank leaks on your classic Chevy bothersome, they can be quite dangerous. Installation is easy. Remove the sending unit and remove the old seal. Install the seal so that the screw holes are oriented correctly. Tighten the sending unit screws evenly.
